Catherine’s work is hand crafted using fine white Porcelain clay. The Stitched ceramics collection challenges conventional ceramics through the development of an innovative technique. She uses a verity of techniques such as hand building, throwing and slip casting and draws inspiration from textiles using textures in fabrics, buttons and stitching which add decoration to the surface of the clay.
